HONNE

Honne (meaning "one's true feelings and thoughts" in Japanese) is a series of works that delves into the connection between bodily motion and emotion. It explores the beauty of contemporary dance and its ability to give voice to our emotions, thoughts, and desires that we often keep keep hidden from others. The series captures improvised performances from three contemporary dancers: Chloe Leong, Donnie JR Duncan, and Aslan Mukhametzhanov. The fluid lines of each piece follow the dancers' movements, conveying a sense of weightlessness and expansion that immerses viewers in the rhythm of the performances. ” I hope these pieces transport viewers to a moment of pure emotion that is both calming and invigorating.”
